DENTAL ASSISTANT EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Dental assisting is a rewarding career that requires both technical and interpersonal skills. Just as there are many paths that lead to the decision to enter this exciting profession, there are also several ways to receive training.
In most states a dental assistant may perform basic supportive dental procedures specified by the state dental practice act under the supervision of a licensed dentist or dental hygienist. There are no education or training requirements for this level of dental assisting.
